Lorain County JVS

The Lorain County JVS provides career-technical training for both high school students and adult learners.  The JVS has been an educational leader in Lorain County since 1971, training 1,200 youth and 3,000 adult learners annually. Its performance and placement ranks it in the top Career-Technical Centers in the State of Ohio. The JVS graduates 99% of its students and has averaged a 94% student job placement rate over the past 5-years.

The JVS serves high school students from13 school districts in the county. Students can explore 25 career options through six academies that include Building Trades, Business & Marketing, Culinary, Manufacturing, Transportation and Community Service. The Adult Career Center offers career-technical training to job seekers, workers and employers throughout the region in career areas in the greatest demand.

Fundamental to a JVS education is the development of future leaders who actively participate in their communities. Through a host of career-technical youth clubs, students develop skills in leadership, cooperation, program solving, communication, social interaction and develop the awareness and appreciation of good citizenship.

Lorain County JVS graduates live and work in the Lorain County community and contribute to the local economy as employees, business owners and community volunteers.
