Farnaz Ansari Berna
Farnaz Ansari Berna is currently Vice President – Relationship Strategist at PNC Wealth Management with PNC. A Kent State graduate with twelve years of banking experience, she is a woman that has not only been entrusted with great responsibility, both professionally and in the local nonprofit community, but she has embraced it whole-heartedly. Farnaz is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, and serves on the Ethics and Grievance Committee of Lorain County Bar Association, a rare benefit bestowed on few who do not possess a juris doctor.
As an early member of the Women’s Fund, Farnaz has grown in the community and currently serves as the Vice Chair for the Community Foundation of Lorain County and Chair of their Grants and Initiatives Committee. At thirty-nine, she is the youngest Grants Chair in the Foundation’s history. In this role, Farnaz works closely with the Foundation’s CEO and Program Officer to ensure that grants are reviewed accurately by her committee. As Vice Chair, she also serves on the Foundation’s Executive Committee and as Chairman of the Audit Committee, and she is on track to serve as Chair, the youngest in the Foundation’s thirty-five year history.
Her other affiliations include: Governance Committee at Open Door School, the “Run Jane Run” committee for the Women’s Recovery Center of Cleveland, a graduate of Leadership Lorain County’s “Best Class of 2007” and member of its Board from 2008 to 2011, committee member for American Cancer Society’s Life Saver’s Ball and Harvesting Hope Gala. Farnaz has been a great resource of input for Leadership’s programming and expectations. A fitness enthusiast, Farnaz can be found most weekends running in a charity benefit 5 or 10K and seven half-marathons and is also a licensed Spinning Coach and teaches a few fitness classes per week helping others maintain a healthy lifestyle. Farnaz currently resides in Avon Lake with her husband, Greg.
